This trip operates ONE DAY ONLY, rain or shine. All sales are final and tickets are not refundable. Alcoholic beverages and smoking will not be permitted aboard this train. Tickets will be mailed to you about ten days prior to the trip; we will send driving directions to the departure point in North Conway with your tickets. These excursions operate using vintage railroad equipment that is not fully handicap-accessible. Please notify us before ordering if special accommodations (handicap seating, etc.) are required.
Sit back and leave the driving to us! Our connecting motor coach package offers a guaranteed connection with our train at North Conway. Our rest-room and video-equipped motor coach will leave Boston's South Station at 7:00 AM and the Anderson RTC in Woburn at 7:15 AM. After our train’s return there will be a dinner stop at Rafferty's in North Conway before the Coach departs, with a scheduled return to the Boston area around 8:30 PM. The Boston Connection Package includes reserved seating in the coach Mount Washington. ACCOMMODATIONS IN & AROUND NORTH CONWAY: North Conway is a major vacation destination, and there are numerous hotels, inns and B&B's within a reasonable distance of the North Conway depot. For a partial listing of accommodations in the area, visit the Conway Scenic's web site. In addition, we would also suggest the Cranmore Mountain Lodge on Kearsarge Road, about 10 minutes from the train station. Please use the order form to order your tour ticket and box lunch. The Conway Scenic's venerable 0-6-0 steam locomotive 
Our trip will depart from the landmark CSRR North Conway station at 10:30 AM, heading south to Conway. Then we'll travel north through North Conway to Mountain Junction, where we'll reverse direction and head east on the former Maine Central Mountain Division track, passing scenic Pudding Pond on our way to Redstone. After a photo stop near the end of the operable track at Redstone, we'll return to Mountain Junction, where a meet with CSRR train #20 will provide another photo opportunity. We'll then go on through Bartlett to Notchland before heading back to North Conway, making additional photo stops before our scheduled arrival at approximately 4:00 PM.
This special event will be limited to just 120 passengers in coach and 36 passengers aboard the Parlor Car Gertrude Emma (photo at left) to assure comfort for all and plenty of room on the photo lines. The open coach 1557 Black Mountain will be open to all passengers throughout the day. (extra fare & advance reservations required for seating in Gertrude Emma - see fare schedule below.)
Train capacity is limited!E We will assign seats by car only and will reserve blocks of seats for groups of four or more. Passengers wishing to sit together must order tickets together at the same time.
