Mass Bay RRE's train excursion resumes with a return to the rails of New Hampshire's Hobo Railroad and Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad between Meredith and Lincoln. This special round-trip excursion will be our first trip over this entire line since 2006, and includes mileage between Plymouth and Thornton that is not covered by the railroads' regular train excursions.

Our trip will depart from the headquarters of the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad in Meredith, NH promptly at 9:00 AM. We'll start out by highballing north through Plymouth to the railroad's northern terminus in Lincoln. After about a one-hour stopover, we'll run southbound from Lincoln along the Pemigewasset River valley through Thornton, Campton and Beebe River to Plymouth, where we join the old main line of the Boston & Maine's "White Mountains Division." Continuing south, we'll stop at the historic Ashland Depot for a museum visit and photo opportunity. We conclude our journey by traveling along the shores of Winona Lake and Lake Waukewan before arriving back in Meredith at 5:30 PM. Additional photo stops may be planned along the way, subject to schedule and operating conditions.

Our train will consist of coaches and locomotives from the Hobo and Winnipesaukee Railroads. For an additional fare passengers may choose comfortable lounge-type seating in the Parlor Car Determination (left). The Parlor Car fare includes complimentary light snacks and beverages. Box lunches are available for advance purchase by all passengers, or you may bring your own lunch.

Train capacity is limited! Passengers wishing to sit together must order tickets together as a group. Mass Bay RRE members will receive discounted fares and preferred coach seating where available. See our web site for complete details and membership information. (Mass Bay RRE membership is not necessary to ride this trip.) ALL ORDERS ARE GUARANTEED TO GET AT LEAST ONE WINDOW SEAT!

This trip operates ONE DAY ONLY, rain or shine. All sales are final and tickets are not refundable. Alcoholic beverages and smoking will not be permitted aboard this train. Directions to the departure location in Meredith will be mailed with your tickets in early May. Please notify us before ordering if special accommodations (handicap seating, etc.) are required.

FACE COVERINGS may be required of all passengers and crew throughout this excursion, in accordance with CDC transportation systems requirements in effect at the time of the excursion. Mass Bay RRE reserves the right to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination of all passengers prior to boarding, depending on pandemic conditions in late May.

NOTE: There is NO Boston Connecting Bus for this excursion!

ORDER ON LINE! Pay with PayPal or with your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card using our secure on-line system. Tickets ordered after Saturday, April 30 will be held for pickup in Meredith on Saturday morning before the train departs.

MAIL ORDER: Download a printable copy of the Trip Flyer and Order Form and mail it with your payment to: Mass Bay RRE, P.O. Box 4245, Andover, MA 01810-0814. Make checks payable to "Mass Bay RRE." If paying by credit/debit card, be sure to include complete card number, card billing address, expiration date and CVC Code (3 digits on back of card, 4 digits on front of American Express cards). Please note that for mail orders, checks will be deposited shortly before your tickets are mailed to you in early May.
