The Housatonic Flyer

The end of the day had become cloudy and dark, as the Flyer pulled into Canaan. The RRE volunteer staff quickly stripped the train of our signs and materials; the Berkshire Scenic and Housatonic crews contemplated how to get the consist back to Lenox in the on-duty time they had remaining. A crowd of passengers gradually dispersed from the parking lots around the station and across town - the Boston bus contingent had a quick dinner at the nearby Collin's Diner, before riding home through fog and rain - and another Mass Bay RRE trip was over.
